The Help Book

In the years ahead we will see increasing numbers of older people in the community. Most will be relatively healthy and free from disability; a minority may be frail and vulnerable, requiring higher levels of care and support to stay healthy and independent. The Help Book outlines the wide breadth of activities and services available for older people throughout Otago, enhancing the lives of older people.

For age is opportunity no less
Than youth itself, though in another dress,
and as the evening twighlight fades away
the sky is filled with stars, invisible by day.

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

We live in an increasingly complex age, the Help Book is your reference guide to that 'galaxy of stars' and opportunities in your region!
